Our friend Christi is having a baby girl and has not quit decided on the rooms colors, but is looking for something in the mustard, teal, pink and gray colors. Since those colors are bold and pop I wanted to make the diaper cake using her colors. I love using new colors that are not so traditional.
I try to make all my cakes a little different. So this one consisted of 2 layers of diaper and the 3rd layer was her bottles, burp clothes and diaper powder. Throughout her cake was little socks, mittens, teething rings and pacifiers.
Your cake looks really adorable! For diaper cakes, I like the rolled up look better since it looks cleaner but its more time consuming to make a cake like that.
